Hi! I'm Mandy.
I look forward to helping you gain control of your health through nutrition and lifestyle. Nutrition is much more than food!
But first, a little about me.
I spent a decade working in biomedical research, struggling with fatigue, gut problems (IBS and food intolerances), and trying every diet under the sun. After finding fitness in 2013, I began to dive into my nutrition, but many of my symptoms remained. I saw doctors, and even a holistic nutrition therapist, seeking improvements in my symptoms. While I learned more about real food, in hindsight what I got was NOT helpful! They hurt my relationship with food, and I continued to be confused and frustrated. Being the science-natured person that I am, I decided I wanted to learn the science of nutrition to get to the root cause of my own health.
The vast amount of information out there is actually doing everyone a disservice. I decided to help people dig through the noise, and take actions that will truly benefit them. I start by looking at the whole person. Systems are connected and you must look at both the large and small details to get the whole picture.
I prefer an integrative approach, where I mix science with holistic care.
Together we will identify, prioritize, and take steps toward improving your health.
At Morning Health, we are building the biggest network of independent dietitian practices and technology platform to connect them with patients and doctors.
We help both patients and doctors.
For patients, you can find the right dietitian who is specialized in your health needs, take your insurance and familiar with your diet.
For doctors, we facilitate them to refer their patients to our network to find and book with a right dietitian. We support our partnered doctors to build a medical practice seamless integrated with nutrition and other professional services from our network.
Our partnered practices currently work with United Healthcare, Cigna, Aetna, Anthem, CareFirst, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Medicare and some Medicaid plans in Maryland, DC and Virginia.
Your nutrition counseling sessions with a registered dietitian may be fully covered by your insurance company. 90% of Morning Health clients pay $0 out-of-pocket!
You don't need a doctor referral to book an appointment with a dietitian at Morning Health. However, it is possible you would need a doctor's referral to have our care services covered by your insurance or you are in certain states like California.
If you need a referral, we will help you obtain it after you make an appointment.
