Frequently Asked Questions

1. What is Morning Health?

At Morning Health, we are building the biggest network of independent weight loss doctors and dietitians powered by our technology platform to connect them with patients.

2. Who can we help?

We help both patients and doctors.‍

For patients, you can find the ideal weight loss doctor or dietitian who accepts your insurance and can assist you in achieving your health goals through the convenience of Telehealth.

For doctors, we facilitate your connection with new patients and provide ongoing support for your existing patient base through our advanced technology platform.

3. Which insurance plans do we work with?

Our partnered practices currently work with United Healthcare, Cigna, Aetna, Anthem, CareFirst, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Medicare and some Medicaid plans in Maryland, DC and Virginia.

4. How much does it cost?

For a Telehealth appointment with a doctor, your copay will be equivalent to what you'd pay for an in-office visit with your primary care physician.

When it comes to nutrition counseling sessions with a registered dietitian, these may be entirely covered by your insurance provider. In fact, 90% of Morning Health clients pay nothing out of pocket!

5. Do I need referral from my doctor for nutrition counseling?

You don't need a doctor referral to book an appointment with a dietitian at Morning Health. However, it is possible you would need a doctor's referral to have our care services covered by your insurance or you are in certain states like California.

If you need a referral, we will help you obtain it after you make an appointment.

6. Which states can you see patients in?

Our partnered practices are currently in Maryland, DC, Virginia and California.
